My name is Kevin Biese and I am a graduate student in the EXSS department here at UNC. I am writing to you about an organization that is near and dear to my heart: Biking for Babies. Biking for Babies is a pro-life organization that calls cyclist and other athletes like myself to put their faith into action in order to raise money for pregnancy resource centers (PRCs) around the country. PRCs provide resources and alternatives to abortion that protect the woman and her child. The services that PRCs provide are counseling, ultrasounds, and a program that gives expectant mothers baby items like clothing, diapers, etc. All of these services are free thanks to donations from organizations like Biking for Babies. I have completed 5 Biking for Babies trips and will be completing my 6th ride this summer from Chicago, IL to Memphis, TN. I want to ask you for any support you are able to give, whether that be spiritual or financial support. If you have any questions about the ride this year, feel free to e-mail me with any questions (kevin@bikingforbabies.com) or check out our website which is listed below.
With prayers and support, we have expanded our pregnancy center outreach. Since our inception in 2009, we have raised over $200,000, covered over 7,000 miles, and financially supported 30 pregnancy resource centers. These proceeds have allowed centers like Innervisions and AGAPE to improve quality care and expand advertising initiatives to reach young women and families most vulnerable to abortion.
This year, we have set a goal to raise $100,000. This money will go directly to support 25 pregnancy centers in 17 states, including AGAPE and Hand of Hope in Raleigh.
We invite you to continue praying for transformation of our culture and encourage you to consider financially supporting our mission. Biking for Babies is a non-profit organization, all gifts are tax-deductible and all proceeds will be distributed among the 30pregnancy resource centers.
