IFC Support Circle Program is training new volunteers!
The IFC Support Circle Program pairs teams of 8-10 volunteers with families who are experiencing – or at risk of - homelessness and who are transitioning into permanent housing. The program currently has five teams of volunteers from faith-based communities who are serving 5 local families by providing them with emotional, social, material and financial support to help them through their first year of self-sufficiency. There are many more families in need of support, and we are so grateful to the St. Thomas More volunteers who have contributed to this effort since 2011! The program is now expanding, and we would love for you to join the effort and continue our faith community’s contribution to these local families in need. It is a one year commitment, filled with fun, challenges, prayer and the building of new and lasting friendships! Most importantly, it is a valuable opportunity to answer the call to carry out the Gospel message. We are training new volunteers in February to join the effort, so bring yourself, or come with a spouse or with a group of friends to one of the training sessions in February, which will be held on
Saturday, February 7th and Saturday, February 28th from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. location TBD. To learn more, just send one of us an email, and we will answer any of your questions! Kathy Millikan,
