Assistant to the Director of Elementary Faith Development (Part-Time)
St Thomas More is looking for a new member of the Faith Development team to assist the Director of Elementary Faith Development in developing and implementing the Elementary Faith Development program. This person will have particular responsibility for curriculum support and development, especially finding or preparing age-appropriate catechetical materials. The Assistant will participate in the set-up, delivery and closure of the Sunday morning Faith Development sessions, and in the Sacramental Preparation, and Vacation Bible School programs, and the recruitment, training, and support of Elementary Catechists. The position also has responsibility in the supervision of the childcare ministry at the parish. Fluency in Spanish is highly desired. The position is part time, 25 hr/week; however, suitable candidates may be considered for a full-time position combining this position with the Assistant to the Director of Youth Ministry position also being advertised at this time. Communications Intern (Spring 2023)
This internship is open to currently enrolled undergraduate students in the fields of Journalism, Communications, Graphic Design, English, or a similar field. The intern will work with the communications team to promote the work of St. Thomas More to the community. Responsibilities include: Publishing and distributing weekly print and electronic materials, assisting in organizing mailing lists and campaigns, managing company social media profiles, designing creative content, and organizing advertising requests from parishioners. Familiarity with InDesign, Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Illustrator, Canva, and Microsoft office is expected. Bilingual skills (English and Spanish) are not required, but are strongly prefered.
