In her role, Emily works closely with the Director of Elementary Faith Development and the Director of Youth Ministry in providing programming for our children and youth.
Emily has volunteered at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Bethesda, Maryland as an assistant to the Director of Youth Ministry. She assisted with the planning and execution of weekly faith development meetings, monthly off-site social events, and annual retreats. Most of her time was spent planning for and working with post confirmation students in grades 9-12.
At St. Thomas More, Emily has volunteered with the “Wired” now "Ignite" group from 2014-2017. During that time, she helped with the planning and execution of Sunday nights in the youth house and helped with retreats. She also led a Bible study on Wednesdays in the summer. In 2021, Emily began as a kindergarten catechist, and this year she is working with first graders. In addition to her experience with faith development ministries, Emily is a licensed teacher.
Emily holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Theological and Religious Studies from The Catholic University of America, a certification from NC State in “NC TEACH Alternative Teaching Program” and his completing a Master of School Administration from UNC-Chapel Hill.
