CandidateJamie Schissel is originally from Dubuque, IA, and currently works as a University professor. She grew up as a non-practicing Catholic but has recently been inspired to discern the faith because Catholicism had played such a big role in her family and upbringing. She originally heard about St. Thomas More’s RCIA program through the Church website. She is most attracted to the Catholic faith because of the sense of community and family.
