Larry Thomas is originally from Washington state and is currently retired. Larry has been attending Catholic Masses since he has been married, for 54 years, to his wife, Mary, who is a cradle Catholic. He was baptized back in Washington at a Methodist church. He was inspired to join the Catholic faith because of his wife, Mary. In addition, after moving to North Carolina in the fall of last year, the Catholic Community of St. Thomas More pushed him to commit to the RCIA program. There was something that really touched him and his wife, Mary, at this parish. He states, "After 54 years, it became necessary to do this... not a want, but a need... an emergency to become Catholic." Larry heard about our RCIA prgoram through Father Ed, who celebrates the Thursday daytime Mass at St. Thomas More. Larry is attracted to the Catholic faith because the believes that there are many ways to believe, but that this is the true way for him.
