I received my training in spiritual direction with an Ignatian focus through a four-year program with Fairfield University. I have also been trained to lead the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola, group spiritual direction and silent guided retreats through the West Virginia Institute of Spirituality. I am open to working with people from all faith traditions and feel called to companion people who are longing for ‘something more’ in life – but are not sure what this means or how to satisfy that desire. I’m drawn to those faced with making important decisions who feel unsure about how to discern their choices; to those experiencing a transition – at work, in relationships or who are suffering a loss and may be thrown off their spiritual track; those who yearn for a deeper relationship with God or who sense that their prayer life feels “stuck” or has run dry. Over the years I have served in many ministries at Newman Catholic Student Center and St. Thomas More Catholic Community including Faith Development, Marriage Preparation, and Eucharistic Ministry at church and to the homebound. I meet with directees in person at Newman Center and St. Thomas More and virtually by Zoom, FaceTime and phone.
I am married, the mother of three adult children and blessed to have four grandchildren. Prior to retirement I worked over thirty-five years in business development and marketing across a range of industries including textiles, technology, construction, and financial services. I now balance my time between my passions of spiritual direction and textile art. I receive energy from family fun, hiking, kayaking, action in the community with issues of social justice, racial healing, and care for the environment. I have a BA in Anthropology from University of Florida and a Masters of Product Design in Textiles from North Carolina State University.
