Class Year: Second Theology
Hello, my name is Nathaniel Sanders. My parents recently moved to Chapel Hill and attend St. Thomas More. While I don't know most of you personally, I am grateful for your continued prayers for vocations. And even though I may not be studying for the Diocese of Raleigh (I am a seminarian for the Archdiocese of Boston), please be assured that is only due to my imperfections.
I am about to begin my year of 3rd Theology, which is considered the 5th year of 6 of seminary formation. While my path to seminary was at times circuitous, it has all been a grace.
Few things in life give apodictic certainty. Vocations are among them. Nevertheless, the God who gives such blessings upon his people does so for our own good and happiness. He loves us individually and personally. I am grateful for my time in seminary: the opportunity for deepened prayer and study and the opportunity to come to know him more intimately. While I await in joyous expectation to someday serve his Church through the mediation of his sacraments, my time in seminary is itself fruitful, as God had drawn me closer to him. He does the same for each of us continually, as long as we let him.
Please pray that I, and my fellow seminarians may someday be happy and holy priests. And please continue to pray that God will continue to grace all of us with his personal call and love.
