Sister Evelyn Craig brings a rich history of experience and involvement in Christian Spirituality and retreat direction. Currently she serves as Spiritual Director for individuals, both ordained and laity, from a variety of faith traditions. Based on that experience, was invited to participate in the spiritual formation program at Duke Divinity School with their first-year Master of Divinity students.
Ecumenical richness is a hallmark of her approach that is grounded and rooted throughout her 56 years of commitment as a Catholic Sister in the Congregation of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, based in Monroe, MI.
Her training at St. Louis University was in the tradition of St. Ignatius of Loyola in retreat and spiritual direction. There she participated in the Institute for Religious Formation for members of religious communities of men and women from all over the world. But she credits her twenty years of experience in college campus ministry as helping her shape a balanced approach of mind, body, and spirit in spiritual practice.
She has an office at the Newman Catholic Center. but currently, her ministry is conducted virtually.
